When floor space is short and storage isn't, the Monaco 5 Drawer Chest goes up instead of out: five drawers stacked to 50" H on a footprint just 32" W x 18" D. The top drawer has a beadboard front, and the whole piece is finished in Bleu, a light, dusty blue with a soft glaze and gentle distressing.
In this room the chest stands by a window, just past the footboard of a matching Monaco bed, with a large shell and two candle jars on top. A light blue chest of drawers this narrow holds a lot of folded clothes without taking over a whole wall.
Five Drawers That Open All the Way
Every drawer is solid wood and runs on full extension ball bearing glides, so even the bottom one slides all the way out. Each has two wooden knobs, and the drawers are close in size from top to bottom, which makes it easy to give every person or category a drawer of its own.
Beadboard Top Drawer
Only the top drawer wears beadboard, which draws the eye up and keeps the four flat-paneled drawers below calm and simple. That single detail ties this blue tall dresser to the beadboard on the Monaco nightstand, dresser and headboards.
32 Inches Wide, 50 Inches Tall
With the measurements marked, you can see how little floor it needs: 32" W and 18" D, rising to 50" H. That height puts the top at a handy spot for a lamp or a jewelry box, and the turned feet ship packed inside and go on in under a minute with no tools.

Dust the top and drawer fronts with a soft, dry cloth, and blot spills right away so they don't sit on the paint. Skip harsh chemicals and dripping cloths, and place the chest where direct sun and heat vents can't reach it. Pull drawers out evenly by both knobs to keep the glides running smoothly.
